Sweet And Sour Gluten Meat – Seitan

Sweet and sour gluten meat is a very delicious plant-based cuisine. It can be served as main, snack and starter. The sauce can function to arouse your appetite. It is very perfect if you have it with a bowl of rice. Seitan is made up of strong bread flour. It can be served as a meat alternative in many plant based cuisines.

Ingredient

  • Seitan – around 12 pieces
  • Tomato sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Water – 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar – 3/4 teaspoon
  • Soya sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

Direction

  1. Put tomato sauce, water, rice vinegar, soya sauce and sugar into a bowl. Mix them.
  2. Boil water that covers the seitan in height inside the saucepan. Blanch them for 2 minutes. Remove water. Leave seitan aside.
  3. Add a little bit oil into a saucepan and put the seitan into it as well
  4. Fry them and add the bowl of sauce into it.
  5. Stir fry them until the sauce is absorbed by the seitan. It is done.
