Life is an amazing journey. I’ve been living between Asia and Europe, experiencing two completely opposite lifestyles.
Life in Asia – Fast! Fierce! Precise!
In Asia, life is the ultimate definition of “fast, fierce, and precise!” Want to go somewhere? The metro or bus gets you there in 30 minutes. No need for a car! Hungry? Just step outside, and you’ll find food from all over the world. Honestly, we don’t need to know how to cook. You can even order delivery with one click on an app, and food magically appears at your door. It’s truly a paradise for city dwellers. But happiness comes at a price. In Asia, work pressure is off the charts, and work-life balance is a myth. Everyone is constantly hustling to survive and make money. I used to work day and night, so I completely understand the exhaustion and frustration of a busy work life. Meeting up with friends? Seeing family? Sorry, please book a slot three months in advance.

Life in Europe – Slow! Quiet! Boring?
Life in Europe is the complete opposite. The pace is so slow that it feels unreal. Driving is a survival skill. No car no life. Without a car, you might just be stuck at home, waiting for a bus that never comes. And food? Unless you live in big cities like Paris or London, having a good dinner out feels like a luxury. If you don’t know how to cook, you’re basically giving up on delicious food. Back in Asia, I thought online shopping was unnecessary. Now, I realize that without it, shopping is no longer fun. Want to buy something? The cost of petrol might be more expensive than the item itself.
Quality of Life vs. Survival
Yes, Europe is expensive and inconvenient, but at least… life is comfortable. You have time to enjoy family moments, meet up with friends, and go out without stressing over your outfit every single day. Instead, you can focus on yourself and do what you love. (Honestly, I do miss my mom a little. If she were still here, how nice would it be to enjoy life together? Alright! Eyes on the future… cherish the people around me now 🤣)
So, which place is better to live in? The answer is … it depends on what you want.
Living in Europe has finally given me time to develop my own projects. There are many new challenges, but the freedom is amazing. I’ve also started exploring the idea of a “travel-the-world” lifestyle (while also considering my future man’s feelings 😆). I’m researching how to live abroad and enjoy a chill life while legally optimising some numbers like… taxes. Well, smart living is the way to go.
Small target in 2025
Aside from all the work, I have one small personal goal. I want a smaller waist. Have you seen Blackpink’s Jennie in that CK photoshoot? I love that campaign. If I ever want to take photos like that, I need to say goodbye to my waist fat first. 😂 I know the main reason my waist is getting rounder. I sit too much! Let’s give it a shot and see if I can trim down a bit. I’d love to take some beautiful photos while my skin is still beautiful, smooth and glowing.
No matter where you are, Asia or Europe, the most important thing is to enjoy the moment and live the life you truly want.
